I have the same behavior.. Actually I didn't even know how to authenticate like you did.

Even I am not sure how it authenticated. It definitely took from my local slack workspace config as it had a workspace I joined on the desktop linux app but that should also never happen ideally.

Volt uses Firefox for authentication. If you were already logged in in Firefox, your account will be picked up right away.

Resizing is fixed, will be live with the next update.

I have the same button issue on Manjaro.
