What APM firmware are you flying: ArduCopter or ArduPlane?
For ArduCopter you should disable the warnings.
Also, are you sure that you have the latest CharSet?

Same issue here. ArduPlane. Used charset which was included with 2.0 hex
firmware and OSD configuration tool.

APM 1.29. Arducopter 2.8.1 and yes I'm sure I have the latest Charset. I just
came back from flying and the screen continuously switches to a different
configuration on its own.

Similar issue here. Arduplane with latest Charset and Firmware. I tried
setting all values to "not enabled", writing each page, then resetting the
values. Oddly, when all values are set to zero, OSD won't get past boot
sequence and video is a grey screen. After resetting values, I get the same
excact result: Panel 1 works great but panel two is a jumbled mess.

In addition since I have been re-flashing the chip, now cycling the panel view
results in a brief view of the jarbled mess of panel two then automatically
flips back to panel 1. No access to either panel 2 or "OFF" mode now. Still
panel 1 is working fine.

As a clarification, I'm able to cycle panels. It was due to a warning forcing
panel 1 to be enabled. With that issue understood, i'm still having problems
with panel 2. It does one of two things consistently:
1) "OVERSPEED SOME NUMBER KM/H"
2) JUMBLED MESS OF VARIOUS PROPERTIES SCATTERED ON THE SCREEN
