Configurable sorting order for media browser UI (by date, name, etc) #599

Use case: you have a big MUSIC folder and once opened you can see the newest folders on top (rather than sorted alphabetically).

Possibly means - allow user to select a sort order for the media types (nas, upnp, usb, etc) in the home screen of the browse window??

I don't really see the point unless there's one source being used all the time that sorts near the end, on a phone this might be irritating.

Possibly interesting to sort by number of items in each source, but a lot of overhead to count everything, easier to let the user choose the order.

I would find this feature helpful as well. As I acquire new music it'd be nice to see a "Newest Tunes" option to show a list of music within the last 30 days (either arbitrary via config option, or fixed). Similar to "Last 100" pulls 100 recently listened to, this would show newest music added to the library.

I think a full date sort of the entire collection is unnecessary, esp with a larger collection.

The idea is to be able to access newly added music quickly rather than browsing folder structures, or remembering albums/artists you've added.
