With the current chromium-browser version that gets installed on Buster, matchbox-keyboard does not work as in the past in that the keyboard does not appear over Volumio's UI anymore when an input field is selected. So it is unfortunately to expect that the current Virtual Keyboard plugin will not be usable on Volumio 3.
Since there is now an indicator if a touchscreen is used, maybe a solution could be implementing a keyboard like this into Volumio's UI.
