[volspotconnect2] Start playlist from Volumio playlist #208

Is it possible to create a Volumio playlist that starts a Spotify playlist, something along the lines of [{"service":"volspotconnect2","uri":"spotify:user:1121697268:playlist:4xpZpqYs1VZsYw0Y8n2f6v"}]

I am looking for a way to start a Spotify playlist from Home Assistant…

It might be simpler at this stage to use haas's Spotify component and then have the playlist launch on that particular device. Volspotconnect2 is just a connect daemon at the moment.

Thanks for the pointers, I will try that as a workaround.

Is the behaviour I described planned in the long term? The Home Assistant Volumio component exposes playlists and I have several radio stations etc configured that way. Would be neat to also have Spotify playlists show up there.

It is indeed one of the long term to-dos but no promises on the timeline.
