Having discussed with @Aksell, I suggest just merging this branch as it is, then branching off a Terrapin branch from master. Finding and fixing problematic pieces of code can then be done as regular development on master, while the Terrapin branch stores the current state. I think this is a better plan than scrutinizing this branch for defects before merging.
