Pre-signal red on train going opposite direction

In this image the train going up and the train going down should be able to pass one another. Both are going straight. However, the pre-signals are red. From what I know of train signals, the train going straight in a intersection like this should not be causing the pre-signal to turn red, yellow maybe, but not red. The setup I have created here should be working to my understanding, but both trains are stopped due to the pre-signal problem.
