Problems after reinstallation of Obsidian and Livesync #489

Abstract

Reinstallation of Obsidan and Livesync on my Mac has resulted in a lack of pulling sync data down

After reinstalling my Mac from scratch and putting Obsidian and livesync back on and using the encrypted link, I am finding no data comes down to my Mac from the CouchDB server, despite all my folders being visible

Expected behaviour

Actually happened

Reproducing procedure

  1. Configure LiveSync as in the attached material.
  2. Click the replication button on the ribbon.
  3. Synchronising has begun.
  4. About two or three seconds later, scanning of hidden files (wasn't aware of any) and nothing comes down
  5. Replication has been stopped. No files synchronised.

Note: If you do not catch the reproducing procedure, please let me know the frequency and signs.

Thank you for opening the issue! And, thanks to your detailed information, we could now the reason. The trouble caused the case-insensitivity handling issue in the previous version.

Fortunately, this had been fixed at v0.23.22. Would you mind if I ask you to update the v0.23.22 and check the behaviour, please?

Thanks for coming back to me, I got to the bottom of the problem. I assumed rejoining would pull all the data back down, but I needed to put a copy of the local cache back onto the machine in question. Once in place, all worked normally again.
