From mailing list archive, the original author has been quite busy for several
years.
Possibly one could create a GitHub organization to which interested folks can
be added. Then trigger the Google migration to a repository there and we can
follow up development.
For Pypi credentials, I am not sure how they can be taken over. Most probably
the original author would be willing to give them / reset etc.

I have just migrated PrettyTable to https://github.com/lmaurits/prettytable. I
will try to make some kind of official proclamation about the future of the
project in the near future. Since Google Code "mailing lists" are in fact
Google Groups, I presume the usual list will continue to function after Google
Code goes read-only in a few days.
