Calculation of the absolute min-max values for parameters not belonging to the 5-default inputs in the settings #22

For all parameters which dont belong to the 5 default input parameters in the
min-max settings (that means all except A, Dp, sf, hc, n/tc) we have to
calculate the absolute min-max values using the entered min-max values for A,
Dp, sf, hc, n/tc in the settings.

As an example: If the Design option is selected then before starting entering
the value for any input parameter we have first to calculate the absolute
min-max values of the parameters of the Qsus-group and we have to display them
in the fields for the absolute min-values and the same values in the fields for
the local min-max values.

Dear Jannis,

As you remember we dicussed problem of n/a limits and decided to display minAbs
and maxAbs values in separate columns but leave n/a if program can't to
calculate range.

Now you a proposing to take values from absolute ranges and use them. As I
understood we have to do it before any input or after "Reset" command. BUT when
user will start enering one of parameters and will enter a first digit then all
limits can become n/a because this first digit can be a number that "very bad"
for calculations. So I think the whole picture will not changed. But I
understand that you don't like n/a. I am thinking about how to solve this
problem. Myabe we reaaly will need to create some "tricky" solution but that
what you proposed will not satisfy you and lets think more before doing
something.

In this topic you descibe also another problem: you want to connect somehow
ranges to give possibility to user to calculate some of them from others. Why
not? It is a great idea, but are you sure that A, Dp, sf, hc and n/tc will be
always inputed by user and all others are calculated? If so then no problem. I
need equations from you for all other parameters. And then I will be able to
create special calculator fo limits.

I propose to continue discussion regarding limits in case something not inputed
in other place. For example via skype or email. This issue will cantain
discussion only about automatic calculation of ranges. Do you agree?

Have a nice day!

Hello Victor,
i have really my problems with this fragmenting the whole in issues. I am
somebody who considers the whole program as an interconnected unit and thats
why is difficult and not optimal for me to do these separations. I can imagine
that such concept is for projects where more people are working. But we are
only 2 and it is a relatively small project. Writing you my ideas as word
documents and describing you the problems i see is a good approach. You can
still use this concept but for me i really prefer not the fragmentation of the
problem. I NEED MORE FREEDOM IN DESCRIBING AND EXPAINING AND RELATING ISSUES
WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH THIS CONCEPT I AM FEELING RESTRICTED. PLEASE
UNDERSTAND ME.
