Ignore Specific Headers For TOC

I've looked pretty hard and don't see a way to tell the generated TOC to ignore specific headers in my document. For example:

# A

# B

## BA

# C

Now I stick in a TOC:

# A

[TOC levels=1-6]: # "TOC"

# TOC
- [A](#a)
- [B](#b)
  - [BA](#ba)
- [C](#c)

# B

## BA

# C

I want to do something like this to leave out header A:

<!-- omit in toc -->
# A

[TOC levels=1-6]: # "TOC"

# TOC
- [B](#b)
  - [BA](#ba)
- [C](#c)

# B

## BA

# C
