This is a test of the issues functionality. Can I use it to assign tasks? I can assign people to work on it - how does that notification work? Can it be integrated through Slack so students get notifcations (that would be great)! Labels doesn't seem super useful if not actually coding.

Here's my example assignment "issue":

Due date: Monday January 16 Assignment: Run gel for sexing assay. Sexing assay from Jan 15. Details are in the Sexing workflow (link to page). Please run 2.5% gel.

so how do I close this thing? nice emoji functionality - students could downvote assignments, hahaha.

Learning a lot about how this works. Issues are individual tasks / questions / problems to solve. (Not sure what size they should be, like: qPCR GR validation - PCR thru gel? before closing the issue, or just gel. Could get a lot of issues). Milestones could be specific projects, like sexing, qPCR validation, adrenals project etc. Students can turn on web or email notifications and see assigned tasks - awesome! To close an issue, you make a commit on some part of the repository. See instructions here. I will test this right now. I can also mention people, like myself @vsfarrar.

oh. you can just "close" the issue with a comment. If I go to workflow.mdmarkdown pages, I'm going to want my issues closed with commits.
