Harmony

Openness and accountability at a glance

Idea description

Here at VTEX we are building a company that’s different from every other we know. We are truly horizontal and have a descentralized way of making decisions, from the smaller to the bigger ones. Though, it’s not clear how these decisions are made, by whom and how they’re impacting the company. Also, at a first glance, it’s very hard to understand how the hell we work.

For example: do you know how many people work at VTEX? And how many share the office with you? What about who deal with content, company-wise? Or marketing? Or front-end? Have you ever needed something but had no idea who to ask for help? Well, you’re not alone. And the good news are: Harmony has come to solve this.

Harmony is an open-source platform to navigate and visualize company’s data with practical sparkles to it. As a company that prioritizes trust, accountability, self-management and ownership, it’s crucial that we can reach who really matters when we’re in need. This can drive the decision making process, streamline our team formation and distribution while makes possible to have a look at the company bigger picture.

We believe this is capable to change the way people see and navigate their organizations, hierarchy and roles within every company. This tool makes possible that non-hierarchical structures have a way to organize themselves organically based on what’s being discussed. Want to understand about a specific region? Need marketing advice? Thought about forming a content committee? Access Harmony and find out who to invite.
