Honestly with the new codebase I feel the code is mostly easy to read so this might be useless

It's not. Documentation is always useful.

You're right, what I tried to say is that it's not as high of a priority now (and based on the fact that I know noone that enjoys writing comments this will stay open for a while anyways)

The codebase is a shitshow tbh, it'd be better to change that instead of just adding comments

Comments doesn't change the fact the bot is complex, if we want more readability we would need to create documentation and not only comments inside code.
