set maximum size for tiles #100

Is there a way to set a maximum size for tiles when using the tiles theme? We have a gallery with filtering options and if there are only a few images available for the selection it blows them up. Since we are using low resolution images for the thumbs that becomes ugly.

Also, it looks like images in portrait mode aren't displayed correctly in the lightbox? Resized based on width?
