Instead decided to fork: https://github.com/vweevers/remark-common-changelog (fork point: https://github.com/vweevers/remark-common-changelog/commit/dd47e57a2b51a06c2c19243d0971928fbf1be1d1). What's left to do here, is npm deprecation and repo archival.
