Hover zoom causing color distortion #837

Problem description: I am in graphic design working with a client trying to 
approve a design, but when I hoverzoom the image in our email thread it shows 
up with much harsher, blueish tints whereas every other platform in which i 
open the file displays the correct color. is this a hoverzoom issue or 
something else?

Google Chrome version: 40.0.2214.94
Operating system: OSX 10.9.5

This doesn't happen all the time, but lately 90% of the time when I hover over 
an image and always when I hover over a GIF the colors are distorted (I can 
barely make out what the image is).
