It's not malicious in any way. And the source code is here in Github. If it were to have something malicious, the code would be exposed and the creator would be in a big trouble.
Most free, "home made", indie, or open source projects may give false positives because the executable isn't signed (which is something that you have to pay for). Files are also often marked as "downloaded" by browsers when they come from external sources. All that will always raise an alert depending on the type of security software that you use.
Of course, you can always opt for deleting and not using it. Just make sure that you are downloading from the right place. Which is the following link. Don't use links from external sites, blogs, or YouTube videos because those could be infected with malicious software.
