Scott - this feels like it would have a significant positive impact on the cities and regions where it would be deployed. I'm interested to know how much of this essentially exists - with government and/or private monitoring of various weather/disaster indicators. Is the task as much about how to pull this all together in a common framework, as it is about investing in more sensors etc; and/or building better models. I don't know enough about the current state of meteorology - but would be fascinated to know what efforts might be underway in this space. I really like the idea of the data visualization and highly detailed / interactive maps to guide the professionals.
