Well Known DID Configuration from DIF enables linking DIDs with Web Origins, as follows:

DID subject issues DomainLinkageCredential to assert control of an Origin.
DID Configuration Resource at Origin's Well-Known URI contains DomainLinkageCredentials.
DID service endpoint type LinkedDomains links to Origin(s).

LinkedDomains service type is suggested for inclusion in Carol's service endpoints in https://github.com/w3c-ccg/did.actor/pull/11#discussion_r668103914.
