Calling the property that links a Subject to what they are claiming hasCredential is confusing in the context of something that is already a Credential. It's also true that many of the things being claimed won't be credentials (we have activity, acheivement, involvement, competency).
If we are to have a single property for all these things I suggest claims, which works well grammatically:

Phil claims to have a degree
Phil claims attendance at the university of Bristol
