Unicorn incorrectly reporting warnings & Jigsaw correct #152

Reported by david on 23 Mar 2011 17:43 UTC [reports all sorts of odd color + background-color warnings, depending on how css files are arranged. And no arrangement clears all the warnings.

Passing the same css through Jigsaw produces no warnings for all the css arrangements Unicorn issues warnings for.

Jigsaw (working) link: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2FRadicalHealth.com%2Fstore%2Fcatalog.html&profile=css3&usermedium=all&warning=1&vextwarning=&lang=en

Unicorn (failing w/warnings) link: [http://validator.w3.org/unicorn/check?ucn_uri=radicalhealth.com%2Fstore%2Fcatalog.html&ucn_task=conformance#]

Comment by tgambet on 31 Mar 2011 20:36 UTC I can also see one css warning for http://RadicalHealth.com/store/catalog.html. In any case, the general conformance task of Unicorn shows all css warnings (warning=2) whereas the css validator on jigsaw selects the "normal report" value for warnings (warning=1) by default. I agree this might not be what users expect. Thank you for the report.

Comment by anonymous on 19 May 2011 14:53 UTC Bump...

Just checking to see if any resolution is in the pipeline, such as setting all the option defaults the same between both Jigsaw + Unicorn...

and...

Allowing options to be set using the same mechanism between both.

Jigsaw option setting is simple + straightforward. Unicorn surfaces no CSS (2,3,foo) options, that I can see.

Thanks.
