More changes will be added to this branch in due course, and as a result of feedback from the group.

Changes so far:

Add some "making the case" content.
Note: images missing (and the added one is a placeholder).

Still to add:

Lots of good examples and use-cases that Lisa shared with me.

This branch is now up-to-date with the slides as presented. I think we should only use squash merges (for all PRs), to keep the history clean (and especially in this case, because some files were added and then removed during development of the slides).

cc @lwolberg @snidersd @ruoxiran—also could/should we change the repo setting to squash merges, both for this one and in future?
