I've seen bold style used, but mainly in the context of headings.
Both are used. Bold style is very well used.
Thanks for the information.
@zenodotus the italic is indeed slanted in the direction of reading – see https://r12a.github.io/scripts/nkoo/nqo.html#fontstyle
I'll add a paragraph then under the Emphasis section title saying that emphasis is primarily expressed by use of bold and italic styling. Ok?
I have seen the same thing as @DD-fwd. Both styles get used, sometimes even at the same time. However, bold is more common. It may partially be an artifact that there are fewer fonts with an italic compliment.
Are bold and italic font styles used to convey emphasis in N’Ko, or are other approaches used? Is emphasis expressed by the language, rather than by decorating the text (eg. 'c'est moi qui l'ai fait' in French conveys the emphasis without need to italicise the 'moi')?
