@jha11y, my reading cursor didn't move from the slider after pressing 'end.' Should we ask @mcking65 or another VoiceOver user to test this and confirm the issue?

Test Setup

Review Conflicts for "Increment a slider to the maximum value"

  1. Unexpected Behaviors for "End" Command

    • Tester IsaDC recorded output " 255, 128, 128 You are currently on a slider. To start interacting with the slider, press Control-Option-Shift-Down Arrow." and noted "Output is excessively verbose, e.g., includes redundant and/or irrelevant speech (Details: VoiceOver announces the previous value several times after moving to the maximum value., Impact: MODERATE)".

Might be a good idea @IsaDC

From my testing the keyboard events for Home and End keys are both changing the slider value and causing the VoiceOver cursor to move to the last element (readonly text field).

Based on the discussions and consensus reached by the ARIA-AT Community Group, we have determined that VoiceOver's output is excessively verbose, resulting in a severe impact. See Minutes for July 25, 2024.
