Improve discoverability of publications

Regardless of whether the epub WG chooses to allow images in the spine without 
fallbacks, there is a parallel issue we should address about how a reader can 
discover the nature of the content.

An accessibility proposal to schema.org,[1] derived from Access for All, 
includes properties and values intended for use in web discoverability of 
accessible resources.

It would be beneficial to see if we could adapt these properties for the 
publication metadata so that epub publications can be self-describing in this 
regard.

If we do reference schema.org schemas (individually, or as a broad category), 
we should be pointing to schemas hosted at http://schema.org, rather than at 
secondary sites like the one referenced above. The results of this 
Microsoft-Google-Yahoo cooperation are published to http://schema.org.

Absolutely agree, but this is the problem Markus brought up about the metadata 
still being only a proposal. Until it is accepted, it only lives in the wiki.[1]

Discussions are going on right now on the public-vocab list about how we get 
this proposal promoted.[2]
