Direction of slant for italic RTL text #36

Italic text should be in the opposite direction for RTL languages, including hebrew.

Now the text is slant is in the wrong direction, as seen in this example: image

Thanks for bringing this up. I just updated the layout requirements doc for Hebrew, and it now points to various places where this is discussed or illustrated. Please take a look at https://w3c.github.io/hlreq/#letterform-slopes-weights-italics and following the link to the gap analysis document.

We're currently waiting for CSS to finalise their text about how to make italics lean to the left, after which we'll ping the browser implementers again.
