I have significant concerns about this specification redefining the various roles that are already defined in Aria. I'd strongly caution against doing that and strongly encourage you to drop the "Description" column from the "ARIA Roles, States and Properties" table.
The current descriptions are a less-than-ideal analog for what is found in the Aria spec, as they lack the hyperlinks to the description of what things mean (e.g., "live region", which Aria defines).
