Can CLDR capture data on counter-styles? #471

Is it possible for CLDR to collect counter-styles information and assign styles to locales?

This is a tracker issue. Only discuss things here if they are i18n WG internal meta-discussions about the issue. Contribute to the actual discussion at the following link:

Sascha and I talked briefly about this at the Unicode conference and Sascha likes to give it a push.

@brawer, this is the w3c i18n tracker issue. Here's the CLDR ticket: https://unicode.org/cldr/trac/ticket/7954. And here's the WG Note: https://www.w3.org/TR/predefined-counter-styles/

There's not much discussion on the ticket, but @r12a and @shervinafshar may have more updates on it.
