App. G "Mawarikomi" definition issues #353

Closed bluesunTL closed 1 year ago

bluesunTL commented 1 year ago

In Appendix G, the definition of "mawarikomi" appears to have issues.

"Text setting style to fill the left line direction space, which is happen to appear because of the arragnement of illustrations, tables, etc. (JIS Z 8125)" "図版,表組などを配置するために確保した領域の字詰め方向の余白に本文を組み込むこと."

Overall, the English definition is unclear. "Arragnement" should be spelt 'Arrangement', and "which is happen to appear" should be 'which happens to appear'. The usage of "left", which appears to be intended as 残された, is also potentially confusing when it could refer to a direction(左). Overall, the longer description in section 4.3.3 is much clearer.

A potential suggestion with the longer description in mind could be as follows: 'Text setting style where the main text uses the space in the inline direction that is created when inserting illustrations, tables, etc.'

Agree that English text is unclear. Also yes for left. I'd keep fill and happen to appear. Replaced in 9744cdc.
