Currently the LCP algorithm considers poster images of video elements, but not autoplay videos. These can start playing without user input, so they could be viable LCP candidates. Our current thinking is that the first video frame would be the paint time, and the size is probably something similar to image elements. We'd like to assess the impact of this addition on the metric, and if it improves the quality of the metric then we'll add it.
