Upgrading Jena to 3.0.1 #229

Hi, LDP-folks!

At Fedora Commons, we are happily using this test suite to check on well we are doing with LDP compliance. It's a very useful tool, and we thank you for it! We are in the process to moving to Jena 3, and in order to avoid a large amount of Maven craftiness to keep this suite in our build using older Jena, we'd like to get this suite to Jena 3 as well, hence this PR. Please let me know of anything I can do to help get this merged or a release made.

For all the same reasons, but another project, I'd like to see this happen as well.

This PR (just like the only other one on this repo, https://github.com/w3c/ldp-testsuite/pull/227) has been hanging for months with no contact whatsoever. I think we have to face the fact that this codebase is now unmaintained, and think of our options. This might be a good thing to raise at the next biweekly LDPNext meeting.

We kept the source base stable (unmaintained) because LDP 1.0 is closed, and the reports delivered.

If there is interest from the LDPNext CG on upgrading to new features, they are more than welcome. Upgrade infrastrcuture libraries (either Jena or Sesame) is not a priority, I guess.

Hi! Looks like this issue was resolved? Can it be closed?

ajs6f commented 5 years ago

Or we could change the title to Upgrading Jena to 3.10.0, which is what is now current. If you want to close this I won't open a new one for that.

ajs6f commented 5 years ago

I should be able to send a PR to upgrade to 3.10.0, if that's preferred.
