For switching groups, see https://github.com/w3c/charter-drafts/issues/264
Can a Group switch to Process 2020 and not to Patent Policy 2020? Related to "Update ALL Group charters to point to Process 2019 and PP 2017" ?
will we require all participants to rejoin the groups if the AC approves a batch PP upgrade?

https://www.w3.org/Guide/process/charter.html needs to be udpated to take https://w3c.github.io/w3process/#CharterReview into account. Specifically: "The following are examples of substantive changes that would not require an Advisory Committee Review:..."

For now, block Streamlined Publication Approval is a disclosure was made.
@wseltzer, regarding the action "Update join page", what kind of changes do you expect on the join pages?
@deniak The join page links the undated Patent Policy. Some groups will be operating under pre-2020 PP until rechartered. If we want to keep a single join-page template, the second checkbox could be modified to add "(the Group Charter indicates the Patent Policy under which the group operates)."
namely:
[ ] have reviewed the W3C Patent Policy, in particular the section on licensing obligations for Working Group Participants (section 3.1) (the Group Charter indicates the Patent Policy under which the group operates)."

PSIG has been invited to consider revisions to FAQ. In the meantime, updated https://www.w3.org/2003/12/22-pp-faq with a note about the referenced version.
updated https://www.w3.org/Submission/1996/Template/ to refer to 15 Sept 2020 Patent Policy
This page https://www.w3.org/2004/01/pp-impl/19480/instructions links to the PP FAQ.
@wseltzer any suggestion on how to replace the text/link in https://www.w3.org/2004/01/pp-impl/19480/instructions. Should we simply point to the patent policy?

@koalie, that document mentions updates in Process and Patent in the past but nothing about changes in 2020. Shouldn't it be updated further or make it less dependent on history?

Sure, please do @plehegar, or hold me hand and walk me through the updates you have in mind; I'm not too sure what to change after looking again.
