I thought we were supposed to use international English's "colour".
In https://github.com/w3c/png/issues/374 we made the spec use US English more consistently, following the W3C style guide.

I could have sworn it was international English before. Maybe this changed and I missed it. Or maybe I'm misremembering. Either way, looks good.
An earlier pull request changed human-visible colour to color in index.html {preserving second edition links that use colour) https://github.com/w3c/PNG-spec/pull/411/files

Also, the change log about private color type values could have been read as a new feature; I reworded it to be a clarification.
