Remove video when there's no talking head #23

The video control just takes up space and bandwidth when there is no actual talking head being shown, eg. for the Process 2020 slides, or the i18n slides. It's also a little distracting.

Can we remove the video control for presentations like those?

that's what we had initially planned for, but we reverted to have consistent UX across all talks - in particular, it sounded better for an accessibility perspective not to have our users discover and learn different ways of interacting with different type of media.

(part of the reason was to give access to captions, but that has since been revisited in a different way, so maybe we could revisit the decision under that light; but this also creates more last-minute change to our setup)

Hmm. I just realised that in this setup you rely on the video window for a bunch of features, such as moving quickly around the slide set, volume control, etc. Ideally, though, you'd be able to control those things also from the slides alone - ie. control the slides from the video, or the video from the slides.

If we had an audio player with the same sets of controls and events then using it in place of the video player could be workable.
