@msporny, @dlongley I have made some minor changes before merging, to speed up things (we can discuss those separately if we disagree). The most important and the only possibly controversial change is that it now says

securing Linked Data used in use cases such as Verifiable Credentials.

as opposed to

securing Linked Data serializations used in use cases such as Verifiable Credentials.

Indeed, one of the force of the work is that the signatures et al. are valid on a graph, independent of its serialization.

The other changes are minimal:

• added TriG as a serialization to the end, because Turtle cannot express datasets
• there was a small leftover in §2 of the explainer (using 'H' instead of 'h').
• per the spec the official name is "Turtle" as opposed to "TURTLE"
