Works for me.

Interested in input from @philarcher, @danbri, @gkellogg, @philarcher, and @peacekeeper -- should we merge this PR, or just close it. I'm fine w/ either... but it's been hanging out there for a while and we should process it since we're wrapping up the pre-charter review.

philarcher commented 3 years ago

I think I'd rather leave it out, only because it has the potential to cause a political explosion. I dare to hope that we are zeroing in on an acceptable version of the charter and explainer, this might throw that off course, helpful though it is.

danbri commented 3 years ago

It's not so much a roadmap as some potentially related work links. Adding them as related seems fine, adding them as 'roadmap' risks misinterpretation by readers in the future.

+1 to what @philarcher wrote.

the fact that JSON-LD / CBOR-LD at the start of the timeline might give the impression that this work is syntax-dependant and kill our efforts to explain that it is not.

also, a minor detail: the diagram is not up-to-date w.r.t. the deliverables listed in the charter.

iherman commented 3 years ago

I would vote to close it.

gkellogg commented 3 years ago

I agree to leaving it out. While it might be useful, it has a greater potential to cause confusion and uncertainty.

Ok, works for me, closing.
