Joint session with Web of Things

We will have an informal joint session over lunch with the Web of Things group to discuss relevant Matter use cases and interoperability.

• Second Screen WG is looking to adapt the Open Screen Protocol to allow reuse of the Matter protocol to improve interoperability of browser implementations of Presentation and Remote Playback APIs.

• Web of Things is exploring whether its Thing Descriptions could include Matter compatible devices.

Matter and Open Screen Protocol

Continue evaluate features of Matter such as IP-based networking technologies for discovery, authentication, transport and media streaming. Discuss updates to the Open Screen Protocol to align with or reuse these features where appropriate.
