This is to answer #289, inspired by the comment of @msporny in https://github.com/w3c/vc-data-integrity/issues/289#issuecomment-2241780121.

Minor wording adjustment; take it or leave it, I'm fine either way.

I prefer the original text. The note has a second part (which was there and which I have not changed) which explains why we are doing that; the new text specifies precisely what is done. Your text mixes the two, and makes the second part of the note unnecessary; I prefer the separation. Sorry... 😀
