Hi @shawna-slh. We would like to deploy a new version of the APG. This was approved during last week's APG meeting and requested in a recent email thread with @mcking65.

The update includes the following, as sourced from Status of Site Updates > Changes ready for next publication:

Remove stopgap fix for feed display star images (pull wai-aria-practices#245)

Add guidance for mark role (pull #2753)

Updates two practice pages to add information about mark role:

  1. On page "Structural Roles", adds mark role to table in section "All Structural Roles and Their HTML Equivalents".
  2. On page "Providing Accessible Names and Descriptions", adds mark role to table in section"Accessible Name Guidance by Role".

Fixes issue #1821.

published / deployed. I did one spot check and see the new "mark | Prohibited" is indeed now in https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/apg/practices/names-and-descriptions/
