[!!][Media - Audio Description] encourage combined production with captions #80

Open nitedog opened 6 years ago

While audio-descriptions require different production steps than captioning, there is a lot of synergy that should be clearly communicated to the reader. For example, "Write the description script" is often already available from the captions and do not need to be re-written. Again, the prominence of the "workflow" box attracts the reader there, then that simplified workflow either seems limiting, daunting, or wrong. Rather than trying to emphasize basic workflows, I think we should better emphasize the synergies and reduce the fear that many people have in making audiovisual information accessible.

(@nitedog - no need to reply to this now -- you can wait for new version that is likely totally different)

+1 !!!

hum -- The captions are of the audio. The descriptions are of the visuals. So I think they are totally different. Or am I missing something?
