[!!][Producing Captions] & [!!][Subtitles] & [!!][Transcripts] & [!!][Playing] Examples are not consistent, not illustrative, too small, don’t look professional #90
Are we sure we can use all images on all pages and have the rights accordingly?
All example images look different and some have video player chrome, a surrounding website or just the video image. This is extremely disorienting. I suggest creating example images and video clips that capture the essence of the issue that needs to be demonstrated. That can be done with Lorem Ipsum or other sample text if needed.
Use one (free of rights) video and use it to illustrate the different examples for consistency.
Producing Captions
The three example images do all only show static screenshots of captions. As they are there to illustrate how captions are shown on the video, I think it is necessary to have inline animations to get the point across.
The second and third image link out to an external video file. What happens if it gets removed?
Subtitles
Again, the image is not really illustrative.
Transcripts
The image is so small it is hard to see what the transcript is. Use highlighting and a bigger image to make it clear.
Playing
Again: Different sizes of images, the second screenshot from youtube is cropped in a way that is hard to see what it is referring to.
