Explore options for optimizing line lengths for different configurations, user needs, and preferences. For example, short line length is easier for some people to read; some people with large text want wider text areas; etc...

One approach is having show-hide sidebars to give users option. e.g.:

[user hat on] With my configuration of large text, it's annoying if the text area is narrow. For users who want shorter line lengths, why don't they just make their browser window narrower?
