I couldn't see anything in the text area about other characters (cyrillic etc) or text direction.

Can you further clarify this suggestion?

It was admittedly a fairly swift scan through following the call for comments but the section text and wording did not appear to consider right to left, or top to bottom languages or the use of non-Western characters (It may be that all this is too low a level for the current revision).

So I'd like to see, at the very least, text direction called out as a specific guideline.
