“Save Image” missing from Share Sheet #278

Hello,

I’ve run into a problem that is currently handicapping many users on my PWA from being able to share images on phones updated with iOS 16.2 or 16.3 and on. The behavior that I have noticed is the “Save Image” option that used to appear all the time in the iOS Save Sheet is no longer showing up for the newly updated phones. I attempted some work arounds but have yet to find a solution. I was curious If this has also been reported by anyone else and if there was any guidance to get around this issue.

It is strange whenever I attempt to share an .MP4 file I will be shown the “Save Video” option but whenever attempting to save .PNG, .IMG, .JPEG or .GIF I am always met without the “Save Image” option that allows the image to be saved right to photo album

This has been discussed on WebKit’s bug tracker. It’s not a spec issue, so closing the present Issue.
