Fix spelling/grammar issues. #18

Also removes some trailing whitespace. I presume this needs to be merged to gh-pages as well?

Unfortunately, I didn't see this pull request until just now and the text has been largely changed since the request. :(

I think maybe one or two of the grammar issues still remain and I'll try to comb through in an edit cycle at some point in the next week.
