"Notification" vs "content distribution request" #130

2: "Notification"

Throughout the document you only talk about "content distribution request“. Is it the same? Should be harmonized then...

This is a good point, I'm not sure how or why the spec uses "notification" and "content distribution request" in different places. @julien51 do you know any of the background on this?

I'm inclined to prefer the term "content distribution" since that is more descriptive of the fact that the hub sends the full topic content to the subscriber, whereas "notification" implies a "thin ping". Thoughts?

I think this is the same indeed, and I am good with using "content distribution".

While working on updating this phrasing throughout, it felt awkward to refer to "content distribution request" alone, so instead I made the full term "content distribution notification". This allows many of the sentences to flow better, using "content distribution notification" referring to the document content, and "content distribution request" referring to the HTTP request. The major change is that now "notification" is no longer used as a standalone term, which I believe is what was causing the original confusion.
