Is there a need for a multi-source span selector for WP-s? #2

A range selector defines a start and the end, and the possible definition (see #1) may then define the right "interval". Is there a need for a new type of selector listing more than just two selectors?

It is unclear whether there is real need for this. The problem is that this should then require a separate specification (i.e., Recommendation) step, which has a price, as well as extra load on implementations. We need real use case to justify this.

The original issue has been superseded by the change in the text. Opened a new issue (#11) which concentrates on the essential question, closing this one.
