MorseRunner on OSx - Logbook not working (everything else is) #297

Description

I've installed MorseRunner 1.84 running through wineskin. When I run anything, the bottom right corner shows that I'm scoring (sometimes, don't judge I'm starting haha) but the log book doesn't add any lines. Also the app feels slow at times, or laggish. I type the callsign and enter, and it starts sending just late enough that it overlaps with the station repeating itself.

Steps To Reproduce

Not sure if it's just me but I just created a wrapper and installed MorseRunner in it. It runs fine otherwise.

Expected behavior

The logbook should be filling up when I get it right.

Actual Behavior

The logbook doesn't fill up. The lower right corner scoring thing does increase the validated column.

Additional context

I know it's said I should use a Win7 Bottle but bottles aren't a thing with wineskin, engines are and there's no win7 one so I used the lastest one.

Can you help?

I'm a coder myself and I'll help as much as I can.

I wanted to address this: "I type the callsign and enter, and it starts sending just late enough that it overlaps with the station repeating itself." I think this is new behavior and created an issue for it (#283) but the feedback was that experiencing inpatient operators was part of the contest environment and it was decided not to fix it. I wanted to let you know that this happens for all of us and not just on your Mac.

btw, could the log book not showing be the result of an unrecognized font for a mac? Could you try Alex's original program here (https://www.dxatlas.com/MorseRunner/) with the same settings and see if it works? I think we changed our font to be more readable and it could be the issue.

I note on that page that "Detrick KI4STU has created a WineSkin wrapper for Morse Runner to run it on the Mac computers." I'll send him an email inviting him to help us. In the meantime his settings could help you. Please forgive us as many of us haven't joined the mac world but we want this to work for you.

@scotthibbs regarding the delay, in my situation it's not much about the impatient station it's more that I type their call, already this doesn't necessarily come right when I type it, it sorts of appears at once. Then I type enter, I have to wait almost half a second before it sends what I typed and then I can hear I'm doubling up. Then I try to cancel what I'm sending to no avail, it just plows through.

@scotthibbs oh and just to confirm, I tool the original morserunner and put it in the same setup as this one (same engine, same type of wrapper) and it works flawlessly, I was kinda hoping it didnt haha
