Filament runout, do I need to define that M600 runs when filament runout is triggered? #20

When I get an out of filament notification it beeps but the extruder just sits atop the print. I have to manually run an M600 to get the extruder out of the way to allow it to unload, reload and continue the print. Should the FW call an M600 when filament runout is triggered or do I have to further config to define what happens on filament runout?

Turns out if i run the gcode from an SD card M600 functions as designed so the FW isn't the issue but something on my side.
